Growing up in New Orleans, Rachel Jolivette Brown — nicknamed “Richie” by her older brother — always had her sights set on New York City. Since arriving here just two weeks after acquiring two art degrees from Tulane University, she has taken the city by storm without ever losing her sense of southern hospitality.
Rachel reached meteoric success at SUITE NY, a renowned mid-century modern furniture showroom, by working her way up from shredding papers in the copy room to running the marketing department, showcasing her commitment to hustle and hard work. With countless contacts in architecture as well as interior and furniture design, and five years (and counting!) of Milan Design Week, Rachel is always up-to-date on trends and has an impeccable eye and the ability to envision the potential of any space.
After a five-year career in international design, this self-proclaimed “Furniture Nerd” made her way into real estate as an original member of the Garson Team. Additionally, in 2019, Rachel co-founded a luxury travel business, Vetted Collaborative, which curates trips for luxury clients at boutique hotels and luxury villas across the world, often consulting with these businesses on their marketing and sales strategies. Her extensive experience marketing over 30 luxury furniture brands during her time at SUITE NY and growing Vetted’s global business along with her international contacts undoubtedly transfers to her ability to market real estate.
As the product of two lawyers (one of whom taught Negotiation during their time as a Law Professor), Rachel is a natural-born negotiator. When the pressure is on, she has a way of staying calm and focused, using her skills to find a creative solution. Additionally, she is furthering her skillset by pursuing an MBA at Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business with a dual concentration Marketing and Real Estate Finance.
When she’s not pounding the pavement for her clients, you can find Rachel working up an appetite for an off-menu Marc Forgione burger and a mezcal negroni. She is your go-to advisor for all things furniture, design, travel, restaurants, and — perhaps most importantly — real estate.
